Born Annie Short she married Elias John Parker at High Bickington on 5th February 1919 aged 18. They were married by the Rev. Cecil Vaugham Wansborough. Witnesses at the wedding were George Heale and Frederick Parker. The brides father was Edward Short and the grooms, Elias Parker. Both are burried in High Bickington Churchyard.
