Topic 3 ResponsesRe: Trying to find Christine, Emma and Katie Wale From: WaleLooker message - 16/12/2002 I am an American who studied in the UK in 1985 and stayed with a family for a little while. I stayed in touch for a number of years and last corresponded with Christine Wale and her two daughters Emma and Katie in March of 1998 on the occasion of my marriage.
The last address of theirs that I have is: When I last visited them at this address, Christine was dating a man named Derek. I don't remember if he moved in with her and don't remember his surname. I wrote them in March 2002 and received the mail back with a Royal Mail notice that said "addressee has gone away." Date 8/3/02, Initials AS, Badge Number 007. I would very much like to find the family and share the good news of the birth of our son but have no way to locate them. Can you help? If not, is there some directory or agency that I can consult from America? I am very grateful for any help you can provide. From: Webmaster From: Katie Wale, 7/01/2005 From: Webmaster, 9/01/2005 Re: Raising Money for Local Schools From: Pippa Lacey Smith message - 02/06/2003 Dear Sir/Madam, Schools Plus is the only fundraising initiative of its kind to be supported by the head teaching unions (National Association of Head Teachers and the Secondary Head Association). The scheme is based on the sale of a discount voucher book through schools, websites and local media with the lion's share of the money raised going to local schools. Schools Plus is unique in that it actually gives cash to schools to use as they see fit whether this be buying arts materials or restocking the library. The book itself is exceptional in its quality. We have the support of well know brands and stores such as Marks and Spencer's, WH Smith, Wella, Burger King and Iceland to name but a few. There are 118 offers from 41 companies with a total saving of over £600 and we have had a tremendous response to the book from schools involved in the scheme. For a full list of vouchers please see our website at www.schoolsplus.org.uk. Our main priority is to sell as many books as possible in order to raise as much money for schools as we can. Currently head teachers are selling the book to parents of pupils at registered schools. However this is a limited market and schools do not have the time or staff to sell these books to the whole community. This is where websites and local media play such an important role in directly helping local schools raise money. For every book purchased £4.50 goes to a school selected by the person buying the book. The school does not have to be registered with the Schools Plus fundraising scheme. Any coverage that you can give us on your site, whether it be as a local news item or a direct link to our website will raise awareness of the Schools Plus initiative. This in turn will increase sales and so increase the amount of money raised for schools in your area. For more information about the scheme please give me a call on 020 7428 8840 or drop me a line at this email address.
Any support you can give us will be greatly appreciated, Re: Eggesford Website From: Kieth Duncan message - 13/06/2003 Hi , spent a very pleasant time looking over your website and have added a link to my Eggesford
