The High Bickington Playing Field Association

Registered Charity Number: 1073333

How to get to the High Bickington Playing Field

The playing field is located approximately ½ a mile to the South of the village with comanding views towards Libbaton Golf Club and on towards Roborough moor. The field has a slight south facing slope and provides a wonderful picnicing spot on any warm summer's day.

The field is best accessed on foot by taking the road out of the village past 'Town Farm', up the hill to 'Quarries Lane'. The journey should take no more than 10-15 minutes and will avoid all but the occasional farm traffic as well as providing splendid views over the village.

If travelling by car it is probably best to take the B3217 out of the village heading towards Burrington/Dolton. Having reached the brow of the hill as you rise out of the village, approximately 100 metres ahead there is a small lane on the right. Turn into this lane and the playing field is the third gateway on your left, approximately 500 metres down the lane. Cars should park on the level ground to the left of the entrance, (i.e. the old tennis court area). Care should be taken on your return when emerging from the lane onto the B3217 as visibillity is poor and the road can be quite busy.
